2004 Corvettes at Carlisle

Solid Axle Corvettes made their way to Corvettes at Carlisle in certifiably large numbers to celebrate the 50th birthday of the '54.  SACC VP Max Brockhouse was on the scene and offers these notes.

As the folks entered Gate 3 they were greeted by
the SACC cars on display.

And right next door was the '54 Reunion Display.
Many of the cars were brought there by SACC
members by special invitation.  Shown here is
MASACC President John Battista's blue classic.

For those who are garage space challenged, this just
might be your answer.  Note the '54 for sale, just
in time for the '54 reunion.

Maybe you need more room for hauling a bigger
family with all their luggage.  Ron Booher of Saltsburg,
Pa found an answer.  This one of a kind solid-axle Nomad
was a hit on display at the '54 reunion tent.

This is the 1953 Motorama experimental prototype proudly
displayed by owners, SACC members the Kerbeck family,
Charles, Frank, and George.

At the other end of the spectrum, this project '56
could have been yours.

There were more solid axles than there was room
under the tent.  These '54s' were proudly on
display adjacent to the reunion tent.
