Texas Lug-Nuts Car Show
Kilgore, Texas
March 24, 2013

Car show nearby.  What's to lose?  This
Show was put on by the Texas Lugnuts
Car Club.  It was a beautiful day and
it was held in a beautiful park in downtown
Kilgore, Texas.  I was hoping to see some solid axles,
but alas, it was not to be.  There were some great cars
there, though, and some are cousins to the
Corvette.

There was live music!  These ladies had tight
harmony, go by the name of Shake, Rattle, and
Roll.

They arrived and left in a white Lin_oln stretch
limousine.

But there were Vettes there, of course.

And here's that cousin to the Vette.

This is a real nice '66 Corvair, owned by
Bud Page (that's him just to the left of
the car).  He has owned this car for two
years, but all in all he has owned 19
Corvairs.  You read that right.  The
white interior really set it off.  It has
already won best of show at one event.

He said he has the car ready to drive a
county fair queen in the 4th of July parade.
Go Bud!

There were lots of other great cars including a Fireball Roberts '56 Fo_d.  No solid axles, though.  But still it was a fun show.
SACC members - you might want to check this show out next year.  Also it's just a modest walk to the GoodDay Coffee Shop
(My favorite) in downtown Kilgore.
